The concept papers review by the independent evaluators is in progress, and the Alpha Board is expecting to notify the proposers of the results of the evaluation process during the third week of June. Those invited to submit a full proposal will be provided with submission guidelines and a timeline requiring submission of the full proposal document by mid-August. The Alpha Foundation is pleased to report that the concept papers submitted under this call represented an impressive breadth and depth of critical thought and collaboration from numerous organizations working in furtherance of safety and health in the mining industry. Equally impressive has been the investment of time and expertise by the diverse group of evaluators who have volunteered to review the concept submissions. The Alpha Foundation looks forward to announcing the results of this first solicitation and thanks all of the individuals and institutions who have cooperated to advance its objectives.
